Through the generosity of its donors, the Incline Boosters have purchased 10 state-of-the-art SMART Boards for classrooms. These boards are designed to enhance the learning experience, providing students with rich, interactive technology that engages and inspires, and providing Incline High School teachers with tools to help students succeed in the 21st century. Because the SMART Boards are mobile, they can be used in a variety of spaces and contribute to a flexible learning environment. The boards have been in use since the start of the school year and Boosters will continue enhancing the school community by supporting classroom needs with the goal of supporting more than one student for more than one year.
Says Ms. Hendy:
I LOVE my Activeboard!!!! It is at the heart of my teaching. I have instant access to all my curriculum, the ability to display student work, and enhanced student presentations are all benefits. We can watch documentaries, annotate documents, display colorful and high-quality images like maps, photos, and political cartoons. Students can come to the board and add to brainstorms, dissect primary sources, etc. There really in no limit to what we can do. I have notice increased student engagement in lessons.
