Easy Ways to Get Involved Next Year
There are many ways to get involved through Booster volunteer opportunities with as little as 30 minutes of time or as much as you want.
2022-2023 School Year Parent Involvement Opportunities Examples
- 30 Minutes: Sell Swag to students – either during school hours or at events like basketball games
- 30 Minutes: Drop Off snacks/drinks/gift cards to the staff lounge during Teacher Appreciation Week
- 45 Minutes: Boosters Membership Registration table at football games
- 60 Minutes: Attend a Parent Meeting (online or in person)
- 60 Minutes: Serve breakfast to students and staff at RISE Week
- 60 Minutes: Help with 8th Grade Luncheon
- Jan/Feb/March: Crab Feed Fundraiser Planning Committee
All of these are easy, fun ways to engage with other parents, students, and staff! Please reach out if you are interested in helping out with anything specific.

- July 30 – Highlander Classic Fundraiser
- August 19 – New Family Orientation – more details will be sent in early August
- August 22-26 – RISE Week – The 1st week of the 2022-23 school year will be a week of on-site team building and social emotional curriculum for students and staff led by professionals to kick off the school year and build unity. RISE Week was the main Fund-a-Need project featured at the 40th Annual Crab Feed in March and the IHS community raised $200k to pay for the entire week plus additional funds to support the school’s technology needs. Parent volunteer opportunities coming soon.
