Requirements for Athletes
Athletic Pink Slips/Clearance Dates for Fall Athletes
Dear Incline High School Families,
As we gear up for an exciting fall sports season, we want to remind you that the mandatory athletic clearance process is still ongoing, and time is running out. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing many of our athletes come in and complete their clearance, but there are still many more who need to do so. We understand that this process might be new for our new families, and we are here to help ensure your athlete isn’t delayed in trying out or participating.
For all FALL ATHLETES:
You MUST be cleared to play sports in order to tryout, practice, or participate on an IHS sports team. If you are NOT cleared by 8/5 (this Saturday), unfortunately, you will not be able to participate until you are cleared. No exceptions will be made. To assist you with this process, we have opened the big gym for families to meet and get help. We understand there are a few hoops to jump through, but this is a NIAA requirement aimed at ensuring the safety of our student-athletes.
Our athletic secretary, Ms. Ada Cruz, will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ada at Ada.Cruz@washoeschools.net.
To make sure you have everything you need to be “cleared,” follow these essential steps:
Step 1: Registering My Athlete
- Register your child at www.registermyathlete.com. This process usually takes about 20 minutes, so please have insurance and physician information handy.
- Each student must be registered separately for each sport they play once the season starts.
- Your athlete needs a physician clearance, and the physical form can be found on www.RegistermyAthlete.com. Make sure it’s completed and uploaded.
- Your athlete also needs to complete the impact testing (see link below) and pay the athletic fee before receiving their pink slip, allowing them to participate.
Step 2: Registering My Athlete – The Details
- Create a username and password.
- Complete the questionnaire carefully, avoiding common mistakes like selecting the student as an international student if they’ve lived in Incline for more than a year.
- Be cautious not to select “prior school” as a charter if they weren’t in a charter last year.
- Have a doctor complete the physical and sign the paperwork, ensuring the doctor prints their name above the signature. This needs to be uploaded into RMA.
- Provide two bills or a lease agreement as proof of residency.
- Acknowledge all NIAA rules and consequences for violations with electronic signatures.
- Pay the fees with a $100 check or cash, made out to Incline High School.
- Don’t forget to complete the IMPACT testing; it is required for every athlete every year and must be done on a computer with a mouse, not a phone.
Physicals Update:
- Physicals are REQUIRED for all incoming freshmen or new students. Sophomores who participated in a sport last year do not need a new physical this year; only complete the questionnaire.
- Juniors and seniors need a physical ONLY if they did not have one last year. Starting next year, a physical will be required every year for every athlete.
- Physical forms can be found here: https://www.niaa.com/forms/forms-new. You may use any medical doctor for the physical, and there is a walk-in clinic at Walmart in Carson City if appointments in Incline are challenging to obtain.
Grades:
- Grades 10, 11, and 12 must have had a 2.0 or higher in the spring semester of 2023. Freshmen won’t have grades until the first grade check.
Payment:
- Once all your forms are completed and uploaded, you can pay your fees this Thursday and Friday. Ms. Ada Cruz and Mrs. Barbara Loeschner will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Big Gym. Please bring all forms, even if they’ve been uploaded, and have a checkbook or cash for payment.
A few important notes, especially for new families:
- We advise downloading the RSCHOOL Today App on your phone for updates on practice schedules. Once downloaded, select state, school, and sports, and official practice schedules will be downloaded to the app once coaches send them out.
- The school website’s calendar is linked for your convenience, allowing you to add important dates to your Google or Outlook calendar. Any changes to schedules will be updated there.
We want all our athletes to have a smooth and successful fall season, and completing the athletic clearance process is a vital step towards that goal. Please act promptly to ensure your athlete can participate without any delays.
ImPact Testing 2023 details:
- You must use a computer with a mouse (not a phone) for the testing.
- Browser use Chrome or Firefox.

- Use the CODE: TVN2LLT8V0
- ORGANIZATION: Incline High
Thank you for your cooperation and support in this process. We look forward to seeing our athletes shine on the field, court, and course this fall!
Best regards,
Ms. Tierney Cahill
