ATHLETICS – WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! Both the Boys and Girls Varsity drove undefeated through last weekend’s Division 2A Northern League playoff games at Pershing High – congratulations league champs! Their trophy quest continues this Wednesday Feb 26 and Thursday Feb 27 at UNR’s Lawlor Events Center as they compete for the Nevada State Championships. The Girls face the Lincoln County Lynx in the semifinal on Wednesday at 2:30PM, then the boys semifinal pits them against the Meadows Mustangs at 4:15PM. If they advance, the championship games take place Thursday at 11AM (girls) and 1PM (boys). Clear your calendar, gather your friends and plan on cheering both teams on to state championships! ACADEMICS – TUES FEB 25 is an Alternative Learning Day, with academic rotations & pre-registration for 9th graders, ASVAB tests for sophomores and ACT for Juniors. Make sure your kids eat well and get a good night’s sleep!
FAT TUESDAY FUN – FEB 25 – Join Cymbal at the IHS Jazz Band fundraiser on Fat Tuesday, 6-9pm at Alibi’s Incline Public House. Enjoy live jazz and take a bit out of N’awlins, with gumbo, cajun wings, shrimp po boys & muffaletta melts. A fun night and ALL AGES are welcome, no cover charge.

OVERCOMING MENTAL ILLNESS – MARCH 12 – Mental health advocate Clint Malarchuk will lead an open discussion on how to help those we love deal with anxiety, depression, and suicide. Throughout his career as a professional NHL goalie, Clint fought a silent battle with OCD, anxiety, depression and PTSD. An author, TED speaker, and nationally recognized spokesperson, Clint shares his extraordinary & heart-wrenching life story on March 12, at 6pm at Lake Tahoe School. Details and registration here.
BOOSTERS INSIGHTS – MARCH 15 – Every month the Boosters connect with faculty, students and other parents to share the latest insights into Incline adolescent adventures. Our next gathering is on Wednesday March 15 at 5:30PM in room 107.
