ADULT PROM – JANUARY 11 – It’s the biggest event of the decade!* Dr. Yox headlines The Man Band at Incline’s inaugural Adult Prom, right here in Incline High’s Large Gym on January 11. Promposals and song requests are surfacing on Facebook, Boo’s heard buzz around town of outrageous 80’s outfits and preposterous pre-parties. It may sell out but as of this writing tickets and details are still available here (one.bidpal.net/ihsadultprom2020) You can reserve a designated driver and babysitting. Gather your friends and join in the fun – it’s all for a good cause as your $35 helps fund the Class of 2020’s Safe and Sober Senior trip. Tunnel Creek Café hosts the Morning After breakfast. We’ll see you there!
BOOSTERS INSIGHTS – Every month the Boosters connect with faculty, students and other parents to share the latest insights into Incline adolescent adventures. Our next gathering is on Wednesday Jan 15 at 5:30PM Join us in Room #107 and get engaged!
ACADEMICS – Each Wednesday after school this month, Juniors and Seniors can get free professional help with college essays, SAT/ACT test preparation, scholarship and common applications. Details here. Final exams take place after MLK day on Wed-Thurs Jan 22-23.
ATHLETICS – Just back from two grueling road trips, our Highlanders’ face Coral Academy on Friday Jan 10, our first homestand of the new decade. Make the short drive Tuesday Jan 14 to watch them face off against local rivals the North Tahoe Lakers. On Tuesday Jan 21 our skiers host South Tahoe on our Diamond Peak home turf. Friday Jan 24 Battle Mountain rolls into town for a full slate of basketball, and the month closes with a homestand against Eastern NV rivals White Pine on Friday Jan 31 and West Wendover on Sat Feb 1. FREE GAME ADMISSION! Home game admission is free for IHS students, faculty and Boosters members – join now online or sign up at the gate. Otherwise admission is $10 for adults, $5 for non-IHS kids and seniors.
HELP HIGHLANDERS HOOPSTERS– One of the best ways to serve and be social is to help staff the games. If you like working with students, please volunteer to supervise our concession stand – click here. CRAB FEED – MARCH 7 – Cowboy Crab feed tickets go on sale later this month… until then we’re gratefully accepting auction donations here ( one.bidpal.net/inclinecrabfeed2020/donate-item ). Consider donating a week of your unused timeshare or 2nd home, contributing a few bottles of wine, or kicking in any other goods or services you’d like to convert to goodness for our students.
